On-Going Professional LCSW Supervision Group

Fee: $35 per week

Live Oak offers a weekly, ongoing, ninety-minute LCSW supervision group. The group is designed for those social workers who do not have LCSW supervision at their employment sites and/or for those social workers who would like additional weekly supervision. The group will be limited to five participants with a structure that is a combination of discussion, experiential activities, case presentation, and reading.

Practicing with Grace: A General Consultation Group for Social Workers and Counselors

Location: 1300 W. Belmont, Chicago
Fee: $60 per meeting
The third Monday of each month, 9:00 am - 11:00 am
2 CEUs per meeting

Balance, imperfection, humanity, transparency, creativity, groundedness, mindfulness---all qualities that have potential to enhance the quality of our clinical work. Through case discussion, readings, and thematic exploration this consultation group will provide space for participants to discuss, explore, and experiment with enhancing clinical practice while enhancing self-reflection, self-awareness, and self-acceptance. While not required, an openness to creative, expressive activity-based, and body-inclusive therapies is encouraged. This is a closed group and will be limited to no more than six participants.

Professional Development Group for Parenting Therapists:
A Monthly Group to Explore Ways Parenting and Clinical Work Intersect

Location: 1300 W. Belmont Avenue, Suite 400 in Chicago
Fee: $50 per meeting
Second Thursday of each month, 1:00-2:30 pm
1.5 CEUs per meeting

This monthly group will explore and discuss the impact of parenting on clinical work and the impact of clinical work on parenting. Topics to be discussed include, but are not limited to: balancing career and parenting, therapist as parent and partner, transference and countertransference, use of transparency, as well as self-care and compassion fatigue. Related articles and books will be used to supplement discussion.
