On-Going Professional Consultation and Study Groups 2010

Live Oak's On-Going Consultation and Study Groups provide opportunities for clinicians to grow professionally through conversation and activities facilitated by experienced clinicians in the context of collegial support. Each group is on-going, meeting monthly for 1.5 hours. Groups are limited to eight participants per group and CEU are provided for social workers and counselors. All groups will meet at the Live Oak offices at 1300 W. Belmont, Suite 400 in Chicago.

  • Client Centered Psychotherapy (Schneider)

    • Second Tuesdays of the Month, 9:30 - 11:00
    1.5 CEU / meeting

    Note: This consultation group is aimed at clinicians trained in and practicing from a client-centered orientation. There will be a maximum of five participants.

    Fee: $50 per meeting or $450 for 10 meetings if paid in advance

  • Enhanced Practice for New Professionals (Schneider)

    • Group 1*: Third Wednesdays of the Month, 9:30 - 11
    1.5 CEU / meeting

    Group 2*: Third Thursdays of the Month 9:30 - 11
    1.5 CEU / meeting

    Fee: $50 per meeting or $450 for 10 meetings if paid in advance

    *There will be a maximum of five participants per group. Two groups are offered to make the series accessible to additional new professionals.

    On-Going Professional LCSW Supervision Group

    Location: 1300 W. Belmont Avenue, Suite 400 in Chicago
    Fee: $35 per week

    Live Oak will be offering a weekly, ninety-minute LCSW supervision group beginning in Spring 2010. The group is designed for those social workers who do not have LCSW supervision at their employment sites and/or for those social workers who would like additional weekly supervision. The group will be limited to five participants with a structure that is a combination of discussion, experiential activities, case presentation, and reading.
